Linda Lockman-Brooks BIO

Linda Lockman-BrooksLinda Lockman-Brooks, a native of St. Louis, Mo. moved to Charlotte with her family from the metropolitan New York area in 1988. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, with over 20 years of experience as a marketing executive at corporations such as Trans World Airlines, American Express, NationsBank (now Bank of America) and Duke Energy.

Linda launched her marketing/communications consulting firm, Lockman-Brooks Marketing Services, LLC. The firm provides marketing and communications consulting, supplier diversity consulting and leadership consulting services and executive coaching.

An active contributor to the Charlotte community, Linda currently serves on the board of directors of the Arts and Science Council, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Foundation, Child Care Resources and on the Advisory Board of the Women’s Intercultural Exchange (WIE). Linda is a Senior Fellow of the Charlotte Chapter of the American Leadership Forum.

A past chair of the board of the Children’s Theatre and now Emeritus Director, and a past member of the Public Art Commission, Linda’s passion for cultural arts continues as she currently serves on the Executive Committee of The Campaign for Cultural Facilities, which will support new and expanded science and art museums, and new performance centers for the Charlotte community.

Linda’s achievements and civic contributions have been recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal’s Women in Business Achievement Award, the Spirit Award and the Outstanding Volunteer Award from the Arts and Science Council. She has also been honored with the Excellente Award from LaNoticia, Charlotte’s Spanish language newspaper and the Women of Distinction Award from the Charlotte Post Newspaper.

Linda and her husband, Wil Brooks, are the proud parents of two children, Morgan and Garrett.
