Marcia MerrillMarcia Merrill is the President of Red Rover Communications, a strategic marketing and public relations agency. Red Rover’s clients include real estate developers, financial institutions, non-profits and business to business enterprises. Red Rover has been a key player in many of Charlotte’s high-profile events, including US Whitewater Center, Charlotte Dress for Success’ Look at Her Power event, the opening of the Epicentre Movie Theaters and the visit of Nobel Peace Prize Winner Elie Wiesel.

She brings broad experience garnered from key roles in large corporations and small businesses. She has worked at ad agencies in Charlotte, Washington, DC and Tokyo, Japan on such major brands as Nikon, Sony and Japan Railways.

She also spent many years working in financial services at both Bank of America and Wachovia.

Marcia Co-chairs the Board of Directors of the Women’s Inter-Cultural Exchange. She has held key volunteer roles for non-profit organizations serving on the Board and Executive Committee of The Light Factory, as well as the American Heart Association, the Arts & Science Council and the Matthews (N.C.) Arts Advisory Committee. She received a LEND (Leadership Excellence in Neighborhood Development) Award from Bank of America. She was named a Mover and Shaker by Business Leader Magazine.

She received her M.S. from the Kogod College of Business Administration at The American University in Washington, DC and earned her B.S. in Journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park. (GO TERPS!)
