As we begin to reconnect with one another as a nation, what role are you playing to promote healing and to foster cross-cultural community?

The Women’s Inter-Cultural Exchange and The Champions support building trust across race and culture by facilitating and sharing tools that enable candid, transparent and healing cross-cultural conversations.

On May 4th, WIE and the Champions launch a virtual, interactive, on-line facilitated experience designed to initiate candid conversations where participants explore their desires to create change and asks them to tap into their SUPERPOWERS to transform their organizations and communities.

cynt marshallThe event kicks-off with keynote speaker Cynthia Marshall, CEO of the Dallas Mavericks, and the first Black female CEO in the NBA as she shares how she’s used her SUPERPOWER throughout her life and career.  Read more about Cynthia.

Following Ms. Marshall’s opening address, attendees will participate in an inter-active cross-cultural conversation in virtual break-out rooms led by WIE facilitators and Champions (the men’s affiliate of WIE)

Embrace Your Inner Superhero: Using Your Superpower to Lead Change

Anyone who ever affected change had three things…

  • A community of people willing to join them in their effort;
  • Skills that they have learned along the way; AND
  • Their SUPERPOWER.

Everyone has a superpower – the thing that you do exceptionally well—a talent that is natural to you, something that others do not have. What is YOUR superpower? How can YOU use it to affect change within your sphere?

Space is limited to the first 100.  Attendance is complimentary to participants, thanks to our sponsor(s).

  • This program builds on the proven success of the WIE Cross-Cultural Conversations program, this on-line, interactive, facilitated experience will connect communities through dialogue on strategies and best practices for building trust, community, and transformation across difference.
  • Nicole Washington-Dean, principal consultant of Xavier Austin Group, LLC, will moderate the 90 minute virtual, interactive experience via Zoom.
  • As a wrap up, participants will be briefly introduced to a suite of WIE tools and support resources that can help them build trust across race and culture through cross cultural conversations in their organizations and communities.
  • Following the NCCC WIE will offer self-initiating, on-line toolkits to communities to assist and guide the process of digging deeper and continuing the work of building relationships, community, and trust across race and culture.
