Rena Lewis BIO

Rena Lewis BlackRena has more than two decades of experience as a global marketing, communications and branding executive, helping leaders and companies in a wide range of industries successfully define and communicate the unique value of their product and service offerings to all intended audiences. She made her move to Charlotte in 2016, and has been working as a strategic advisor to businesses and a local political leader on multichannel demand generation programs, reputation management, digital transformations and communications.

Before becoming a Charlottean, Rena was Vice President of Communications for Wolters Kluwer’s Governance, Risk and Compliance division in New York City, where she led her team in building best-in-class communications capabilities worldwide to support and measurably contribute to the growth of the business and exceptional customer experiences.

Prior to Wolters Kluwer, Rena was with Infosys, as Associate Vice President & Global Marketing Team Leader for their $2.5 billion Financial Services & Insurance business unit. At this leading technology solutions provider, she was responsible for guiding all global marketing strategies and initiatives with a key focus on demand generation campaigns, sales enablement, content management, channel partnerships, media & analyst relations, integrated marketing communications, and events across traditional, digital and social media channels. Before joining Infosys, Rena held a number of enterprise marketing and communications leadership roles with significant achievements at a variety of highly regarded organizations, including EducationDynamics, KPMG, Lee Hecht Harrison, Gartner, Source Media and American Express.

Rena earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Iona College in New York, and completed a 2-year Executive Leadership Program at the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland.  Her professional affiliations include the Public Relations Society of America where she served as a judge for their Annual Big Apple Awards Competition in New York City for 6 years,  a Business Advisor and Mentor for the Inroads Organization where she received Mentor of the Year and Corporate Spirit awards, an Award for Communications Excellence (ACE) from the International Association of Business Communicators, a member of Good Friends Charlotte, and a Guest Lecturer on Integrated Marketing and Communications at the City College of New York since 2005.

Her personal interests include learning to play the piano, international travel (43 countries so far), reading, cooking, seasonal sports and shooting pool.
